Instant cameras and printers at CES

Walking around the halls of the Consumer Electronics Show I stopped at a second Kodak booth. After talking to one of the reps at this booth I learned that these products are produced by a third party under license to use the Kodak name and brand.

Here the company was showing off a slightly different set of instant print cameras and easy to use printers.

Mini Shot 2 makes 2″ x 3″ instant prints. Costs $129 with cartridges for 68 photos.
Mini 2 Retro printer for 2″ x 3″ prints. Costs $99 with cartridges for 68 photos.
Dock ERA for 4″ x 6″ prints. Costs $139 with cartridges for 90 photos.
Mini 3 ERA for 3″ x 3″ prints. Costs $119 with cartridges for 68 prints.

HP Scanner

As in past years while attending the Consumer Electronics Show I always take a special interest in all things related to photography. At the Hewlett Packard booth I spotted this 5″ touch screen compact film scanner.

This sign displays some of the details of the scanner.

The scanner includes adapters or 110, 126, 135 film sizes and slide holder. I found it easy to load the adapter to scan each frame of the film strip.

Film and slides are scanned at 13mp resolution and the images that can be transferred directly to a connected computer.

This scanner is scheduled for release shortly so pricing information is available at this time.

Kodak Printomatic

Instant Print Cameras

For many of us, the Kodak name is synonymous with photography.

Walking through the halls of the Consumer Electronics Show I couldn’t help but stop at the bright Kodak yellow booth.

I was surprised by their small instant printing cameras. There is even a camera for fans of Barbie.

Prints are 2″ x 3″size snapshots on ZINK instant print photo paper.

Kodak Printomatic Camera comes in six colors. Cost is about $60
These are slots for microSD card and for USB charging cable
