Traveling Westward

Cross Country By Car

I’m trying to catch up organizing photos from last fall’s travels.

As I was driving westward from Michigan to Nevada I snapped a bunch of scenes that illustrate the different industries from the intervening states.

Here are some photos from my car journey to Reno.

Nebraska – sprawling feed lot in Ogalalla
Wyoming – freight train delivering coal to western states
Nevada – scenic aspen trees on the high plains

I’m an admirer of the great landscapes of our country. As I traveled west from my home, it was clear to me that amazing industries which determine the way of life in these other states differs drastically from what I’ve been used to in Michigan.
