Along the Waterfront
There are quite a few attractions that sit near the north end of the San Francisco peninsula – Fisherman’s Wharf, Ghiardelli Square, Hyde Street cable car line. As its name suggests, the San Francisco Maritime Historical Park offers a very pleasant view of the bay.
Here are a few photos of this popular park and urban respite.
During the day, the park is filled with both residents and visitors enjoying the green foliage gardens and open spaces. It’s a favorite with local runners.
The visitor center is located across Hyde Street. At the west end of the park is the Maritime Museum. Among the many exhibits you’ll see exhibits on historic ships, naval history, sea navigation.
